RCIA classes are held on Mondays beginning September 12 and continuing through April. The classes are usually from 7:30pm until 9:00pm and they meet in Burke Hall.

If you are interested in becoming Catholic — whether by Baptism (if you have never been baptized) or Profession of Faith (if you have been baptized in another religion) or if you would like to find out what the Catholic Church is all about — this program is for you.

Those who discern that they would like to become Catholic will receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil Mass. In addition to the weekly sessions, we celebrate the Rites and Blessings of the RCIA on several different Sundays throughout the year.

For more information, please contact the Director of Christian Initiation, Rev. Christopher P. Christensen, at 703-525-1300, Email: frcc@cathedralstm.org

Adult Catholic but not yet Confirmed?

If you are an adult who has received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, but have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation, you are invited to attend the RCIA classes on Monday evenings. These classes will prepare you to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from the Bishop of Aarlington on Pentecost Sunday.
