Please Welcome Fr. Ghenghan Bamejon Mbinkar

Continuing our relationship with the Diocese of Kumbo in the African nation of Cameroon, we are pleased to welcome Fr. Ghenghan Bamejon Mbinkar (pronounced ghen-ghan ba-men-jo-mbin-kar– the m is almost silent).

Rev. Ghenghan Bamenjo Mbinkar, hails from Jakiri in the North West Region of Cameroon. Born on February 5, 1985, he is second child in a family of four. He did his seminary formation in St Thomas Aquinas’ Major Seminary, Bambui – Cameroon, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a bachelor’s degree in divinity. He was ordained priest for the Diocese of Kumbo, Cameroon on April 13, 2012 in Kumbo after which he was sent as a formator to his alma mater, St Aloysius’ Minor Seminary, Kitiwum- Kumbo, where he had done his secondary and high school studies. While he was formator in the minor seminary where he taught Latin, Music and Religious Studies, he was also assigned other functions which included Director of the Cathedral Choir and Chaplain of the Diocesan Pastoral Center. In 2014 be began further studies in canon law at the Catholic University of America where he graduated with a Licentiate in Canon Law in 2017. He currently serves as Defender of the Bond in the Arlington Diocesan Tribunal, while completing his doctoral studies at Catholic U.
