2026 BISHOP’S LENTEN APPEAL (BLA) BEGINS!

The 2026 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal, In Christ, We Are One, has begun and families should be receiving a letter in the mail from Bishop Burbidge. Supporting the BLA with a gift is a unique way for each of us to share our gifts, with increase, to the Lord. Each gift enriches parish life, forms seminarians, teaches children the Catholic faith, helps the needy and inspires others through evangelization efforts.
Please read the BLA materials and then prayerfully reflect on making a monthly gift or pledge to this vital appeal. Thank you!

“La Petición Cuaresmal del Obispo 2026, En Cristo Somos Uno, ha comenzado y las familias deberían estar recibiendo una carta por correo postal de Obispo Burbidge. Apoyar la PCO con una ofrenda es una forma única en que cada uno de nosotros puede compartir nuestros dones, con creces, al Señor. Cada ofrenda enriquece la vida parroquial, forma a los seminaristas, enseña la fe católica a los niños, ayuda a los necesitados e inspira a otros a través de esfuerzos de evangelización. Por favor, lean los materiales de la PCO y luego, en espíritu de
oración, reflexionen sobre hacer una ofrenda mensual o una promesa de contribución a esta petición vital. ¡Muchas gracias!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This year’s Bishop’s Lenten Appeal, “In Christ We Are One,” reminds us that we are never alone on our journey of faith. In Baptism, the Lord gathers us into one Body and calls us to share his love with all we meet.

Each day across our diocese, your generosity makes this unity visible and tangible. Through the BLA, you stand with our seminarians preparing for priestly service, support our parishes and missions, accompany families through Catholic Charities, and help form disciples among children, youth, young adults, and the elderly. You bring Christ’s light to those who are suffering, searching, or feel far from the Church.

I invite you to join me in making a sacrificial gift to this year’s Bishop’s Lenten Appeal. I ask you especially to consider a recurring monthly commitment, which allows your generosity to continue bearing fruit throughout the year and may enable you to make a greater gift in thanksgiving for God’s goodness.
