First Holy Communion – Primera Comunion 2026

Dear Parents of First Communicants,
As you know, this is a very important year for your child as he/she prepares to receive First Penance and First Holy Communion. There are many important dates for the preparation of the Sacraments, so please take note of the following:
Como ustedes saben este es un año muy importante para su hijo/a cuando el/ella se prepare para recibir la Primera Penitencia(Confesión) y la Primera Comunión. Estas son las fechas importantes para la preparación de los Sacramentos, por favor tome nota de lo siguiente:
Paperwork Due: February 14, 2026
Please fill out the registration form by February 14, 2026. A scan of your child’s baptismal certificate is to be uploaded with this form: FHC Registration Form
Por favor complete el formulario de registro antes del 14 de Febrero, 2026. Se debe cargar un escaneo del certificado de bautismo de su hijo con este formulario: Inscripción para la Primera Comunión
First Penance: February 28, 2026 after the 9:00am mass
First Penance will be on Saturday, February 28, 2026 after the 9:00 mass in the Cathedral. Please enter respectfully and quietly and find a teacher to be directed into a line for confession. A printout will be provided for last minute guidance.

Ms. Mosquera’s Class: Arrive at 9:40 am
Ms. Vargas’ Class: Arrive at 9:55 am
Mr Biehler’s Class: Arrive at 10:05 am
Mrs Furrifino’s Class: Arrive at 10:20 am
Ms. Algeo’s Class: Arrive at 10:30 am
Ms. Stouffer and
Mr. Horneman’s class: Arrive at 10:40 am
Other sacramental students: Arrive at 9:45 am
Primera Confesión: February 28, 2026 después de la misa de las 9:00am
La Primera Penitencia será el Sábado 28 de Febrero de 2026 después de la misa de las 9:00 am en la Catedral. Por favor ingrese respetuosamente y en silencio y busque un maestro para que guíen a hijo/hija a una fila para confesarse. Se proporcionará una copia impresa de una guía para la confesión. First Communion Retreat: March 21, 2026, 8:45am-3:30pm
This year’s First Communion Retreat will be held from 8:45am to 3:30pm in the Cathedral and school cafeteria. The retreat begins with 9am Mass–Families are encouraged to join their students for Mass. A light donut breakfast and pizza lunch is included. We will end with FHC rehearsal in the Cathedral, with pickup at 3:30. There is a $25 Retreat Fee to help defer the cost of the food and materials for the Retreat, to be delivered with the permission slip.
El Retiro de la Primera Comunión: El 21 de Marzo de 2026, 8:45 am-3:30 pm
Este año el retiro de la Primera Comunión será en la Catedral y en Burke Hall de 8:45am hasta las 3:30pm. El retiro comienza con la Misa y las familias están invitadas a asistir a la Misa con los estudiantes.
First Communion Mass: May 9, 2026 10:30am
The First Communion Mass will be on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:30am in the Cathedral. Students should arrive to Burke Hall to prepare no later than 9:30am.
La Misa de la Primera Comunión: El 9 de Mayo de 2026 10:30a. m.
Las Misas de la Primera Comunión será el 9 de Mayo del 2026, a las 10:30am. Los estudiantes deben estar en Burke Hall (el basement) a las 9:30 am.
