The Cathedral of Saint Thomas More News:

Boy Scouts

Scouts BSA Troop 2535 is a youth ministry of The Cathedral of St. Thomas More. Our troop is open to boys ages 11-17. We have weekend campouts several times a year and we usually spend a week at Goshen Scout Reservation or some other camp in July. Our Scouts participate in Eagle projects, food collections and stream cleanups. We work on Merit Badges to learn about careers and develop new skills.

We are a relatively small troop of 23 boys split into two patrols. The Scouts get to know each other well. They learn how to work as a team and how to communicate with adults.

Being Catholic is not a requirement to join, but we open each meeting with a Catholic prayer and encourage each Scout to learn about his faith. Demonstration of a Scout’s Duty to God is required for every rank.

Meetings are from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. most Tuesday nights in the St. Thomas More Cathedral School cafeteria or parking lot, 105 N. Thomas St. Arlington, VA 22203 (Door #13). Send an email if you’d like to come and visit. We’d love to meet you!
